Sharron's Blog: Angels Watching over me!
Thursday Prayer Walk 7/14/2022
Today while I was walking, spending morning with the Lord, I went down first cul-de-sac, and on my way out three dogs, 2 large pit bulls and a very small white fluffy mix dog pack came at me! I accidently hit the leash release buttons on my two girls and they ran out to meet this dog pack. The leashes got all tangled up and wrapped around them as well, but the dogs were approaching faster then I seemed to untangle my girls, to get control. I yelled "No, stay!" And like magic the dog pack stood still and began to back up and retreat! I was shocked that command worked so well. After getting my dog-girls untangled, the thrio again ran out to challenge us, and again I yelled "no, stay" as I walked out of that cul-de-sac, and thank God they obeyed me.
I was determined to continue my prayer walk, after all, I was walking with the Creator of our universe, so turned towards second cul-de-sac and just as I was very quietly attempting to turn to go back, the big black mean dog, again jumped the fence and came out to get me and my two dogs. I tried the "No, stay" but he did not even think about obeying [reminds me of some people]. I tried backing away but he was very threatening and my dogs weren't helping, and to add to my problems, I have been battling vertigo and was a bit wobbly, unsteady, leaning down trying to untangle my dogs was scarey. But God had the next door neighbor come out and make the black dog go home. He retreated and I heard him jump back over fenced yard he had jumped out from. I thanked the kind elderly man for coming to my rescue and he told me "that dog is mean and has been in fights before". I have been determined to continue to go on these morning prayer walks with the Lord, [we walk by faith, not by sight] as they energize me and give me renewed strength.
I think something [spiritual] knows the power of our prayers and is trying hard to stop me and discourage me... vertigo, dogs, all firey darts from the enemy, but break through is coming and I will see it, as I believe! Here are a few verses that come to mind as I write this:
SCRIPTURES:
John 16:32 KJV — Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
John 8:29 KJV — And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
John 6:22 KJV — The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;
Luke 9:36 KJV — And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
John 6:15 KJV — When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
Luke 9:18 KJV — And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?
Matthew 14:23 KJV — And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
Mark 6:47 KJV — And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
Psalm 23:1[A Psalm of David.] The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
The Lord's Prayer...Matt 6:5¶And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8¶Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Psalm 91:1¶He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
1 Peter 3:12 KJV — For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Philemon 1:4 KJV — I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
2 Timothy 1:3 KJV — I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
1 Timothy 5:5 KJV — Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
1 Timothy 2:1 KJV — I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
Provervbs 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
