Sharron's Blog: My Mysterious Walmart Encounter!

Today, I decided to venture out to town [Hiram, GA] for some much needed groceries considering I got paid today. [By the way I purchased same things and my groceries were double!] Anyway, back to my Encounter. I went down to pet care isle, to get some fur kid treats and food, when a stranger approached me while I was checking out dog chews. He was a very pleasant looking young [to me]man, bible in hand around 45+/- and asked: "Ma'am, could I share a daily Bible verse with you?"  I said, "yes, I'd be glad to as I am a believer and love the Word of God." He opened his Bible and began reading from book of Revelation. This is what he read:

Revelation 20:1-3, 7-10 (NKJV) Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [2] He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; [3] and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. [7] Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison [8] and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. [9] They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. [10] The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Now as he finished his reading I spoke up and told him, "I have a bible study going on right now at my house and we are studying the book of Revelation."

He said: "Ma'am, you are one of these fallen angels that were cast out of heaven down here to earth and I'm warning you"... I became filled with "righteous indignation" [I'll call it] and said: "I'm sorry but I know the Word and am a born again, blood washed believer in Jesus Christ as my personal savior and have been for most of my life. When I was 5 years old, I actually died and saw the Lord, I know Him and He knows me. I continued... "I am on my pastor's prayer team, and  am very active in my church, so you are mistaken, as I am not a fallen angel! He kept telling me I was cast out of heaven down here to earth and God was getting ready to pass judgement on me, that he had just read to me [verse 10!]

Finally I had had enough of this weirdo and tried telling him very softly, to please leave and that I did not want to hear anything else he had to say, but he said: "Look, I know things, and I can see things, I can tell you, you are one of these fallen angels and judgement is coming against you that I just read"... to which I again said: "Please leave me alone and go find someone else to talk to as I am through talking to you, please leave me now, and have a nice day!" I turned and walked away. I should have remembered this verse: "Matthew 7:6 (NKJV) "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

I was so shocked at this Encounter and in my 73 years I have to say, this was the strangest to date.  I wondered how believers that were not strong in their relationship with the Lord or God's Word, would have handled this Encounter, as I myself questioned why me, of all people in Walmart, did he seek me out to tell me this...[and did he think all shoppers were fallen angels?] I left the encounter, asking the Lord, "what was that all about?  What made that man think I am a fallen angel cast out of heaven and what religion thinks this way?

Does anyone out there reading this know what religion would believe such things? I am still perplexed and pondering this Encounter.
